REACH Compliance
REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 is the Regulation on Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH). It entered into force by the European Union (EU) on 1st June 2007.The REACH regulation contains a list of chemical Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs), which require special treatment due to their known and identified hazards. The known allowable quantity of SVHCs in the substance(s) or mixture is less than or equal to 0.1% of its total mass. At present, Varun Polymers is manufacturing products which do not have any of SVHCs or may have the SVHCs in allowable quantity less than or equal to 0.1% w/w. Varun Polymers GmbH ensures the compliance with REACH by constantly keeping close track with SVHCs candidate list and will continue to do so in future as well.
Varun Polymers GmbH ensures that the rubber chemicals manufactured are free from PAHs or may contain the levels of restricted materials below the limits established by REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 or as drafted in REACH Compliance.
RoHS Directive
RoHS Directive (EC) No 2011/65 is the Restriction
of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) and was implemented by the European Union (EU) on 1st July 2006. The ROHS directive banned the use of six substances — lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), hexavalent chromium (Cr
(VI)), cadmium (Cd), polybrominated biphenyl flame retardants (PBB), and polybrominated biphenyl ether flame retardants (PBDE) — in electrical and electronic equipment.
Varun Polymers GmbH declares that to the best of our knowledge none of the hazardous substances are used or intentionally added in the manufacturing of our rubber chemicals.
